What makes you feel good about yourself? Where do you find your self worth? Your source of joy? Your identity?
Because you shouldn’t base your value on what you’ve done. Yes, those things can be good, but those things can easily be changed. They can easily be moved. What you should base your value on is on the one thing that that cannot be moved: your position with God. On what God has done FOR YOU, not what you have done.
Jesus died on the cross for YOU. He took up the cross that bears your sins and he sacrificed himself. Why? BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU. He accepts you EXACTLY HOW YOU ARE.
Your value is not on the basis of what you can do, but by what God has already done for YOU. Here is where you should find your self worth, your source of joy, and your identity.
